Birthday Blender!!!

This post is a little over due but I thought I'd share anyways.

For my birthday this year my family bought me a new Breville Die-Cast Hemisphere Blender and I LOVE IT!

I was debating between this blender and the Vitamix Pro 200 Blender (or possibly another Vitamix).
I've heard so many great things about both but ultimately decided to ask for the Breville because of the use I was (am) going to get out of it.  I'm huge smoothie, almond milk, and homemade soup fan (tomato, squash, kabocha, etc.) and these were the primary reasons for upgrading my old (but still functional) GE blender.  I'll probably also use the blender to make almond, oatmeal and other flours but I foresee only doing this on occasion.  In all, as you can read, my list of use was very small and I didn't feel investing in a $450+ blender was necessary at this time.  Perhaps in the future, but not at this time.

So, Breville wins!

First Delicious Smoothie!
Having used the blender a handful of times to make smoothies, homemade tomato soup, oatmeal flour for crab cakes, and more smoothies, I highly suggest investing in this.  You will not be disappointed.
